In an effort to best respond to the potential public health risk caused by the COVID-19 Virus (Coronavirus), we have decided to close Venture Café for March 5, 2020. We will reopen with an interactive virtual format on March 12 and for the following weeks until we determine it is safe to gather the community.

Sanous Sweets, a new baking company specializing in vegan friendly lactation cookies, will be sampling their new products. They support breast feeding women with a healthy delicious nutrient filled snack that helps produce healthier milk.

Around the Lounge | 5:00 – 6:00 PM

Around the Lounge is our creative showcase series. Are you working on a new song, poem, short story, dance, or another creative project? Come share it with the community during this open mic of sorts.

“Organizational Priorities to Securing Financing” | 5:40 – 6:40 PM

What do businesses need to have in order before securing financing? This session highlights how to develop and present necessary financial projections and a business plan to potential funders. Led by Thomas Quinlan of Harbor One Bank.

“Building a Data Driven Culture” | 6:00 – 6:50 PM

Even small companies can use data analytics to drive decision-making. In this talk, we’ll discuss how to take the first step on your data journey. We’ll focus particularly on the unique challenges that small businesses and solo entrepreneurs face, and how to build a data strategy that delivers results, even when budget and resources are limited. Led by Rob Ulmschneider, Director of Business Intelligence at Trilix.

“Is eCommerce Right For You?” | 6:40 – 7:30 PM

Is your product suitable to advertise on eCommerce platforms such as Facebook or Instagram? Jess Bachman and Rachyl Jackson of lead a workshop differentiating strategies between organic and paid social media advertising, helping one identify which channels and content are appropriate for one’s marketing needs.
