HOW RESEARCH AND DESIGN CAN COME TOGETHER FOR MORE IMPACTFUL HEALTHCARE INNOVATION | 4:30 – 5:00 PM

Transformative research can often lead to breakthrough innovations. However, without the proper use of design, one’s solution can often lack a defined problem, end-user, or market. Join Kristine Merz (Orange Square) and Lisa Marceau for a discussion on how researchers can connect with designers and methodologies to improve their healthcare research and create more impactful innovations.

OFFICE HOURS | 5:00 – 6:00 PM

CAPATABLES: WHAT ARE THEY AND HOW DO THEY WORK? | 5:05 – 5:30 PM

One of the biggest questions entrepreneurs often ask is, “How much equity would I have if I accept this offer?” And one of the biggest impacts to future exits is the equity breakout as seen on capitalization tables (“Cap Tables”). They can be tricky, but often worth every minute spent on them. Join us as we dive into looking at how different types of investments affect your future equity! Led by Steven Byler and Dan Gertrudes of Growthlab.

WOMEN IN THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP ROUNDTABLE: NEGOTIATIONS | 5:40 – 6:10 PM

Although we have been negotiating for most of our lives, most people have difficulties when the stakes are higher. It is one thing to ask for something small but when faced with a major contract negotiation or something equally as important, many feel a variety of emotions including fear that hinder them from getting what they truly want… and deserve. Beth Carter leads a session where participants will identify what their true value is and how to capitalize on it, understand what type of negotiator they are, and evaluate different ways to close the deal and how to follow up.
