4:25 PM | COMING TOGETHER TO SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES WITH SIU-LI KHOE, JORDAN ELSTER, AND TUNI SCHARTNER

When businesses had to close their doors due to COVID-19, Rhode Island Commerce partnered with the Tech Collective and District Hall/Venture Café Providence to find a way to provide support to brick and mortar establishments as they pivoted to e-commerce. The program has grown to assist more than 150 businesses and provide over 300 hours of support. In this session, hear from program founders Siu-Li Khoe, Tuni Schartner, and Jordan Elster on how the program formed and how it’s going today.

This panel, made up of the program’s volunteer pool, will discuss why they are supporting the program, what they’ve gained from volunteering, and what trends they have noticed that businesses need the most.

5:20 PM | WEBSITE IN A WEEK

As businesses transisition from brick and mortar to e-commerce, many owners discovered that having a website was no longer something good to have, but a neccessity. In response, The Spark Social and On Web Local partnered with the Small Business Tech Support Program to build a comprehensive program to support businesses as they build and improve their webpage. In this session, we’ll sit down with Nicole Eller, Suzanne Mancini, and Mark Collins to talk about how they were able to guide many small businesses in the state to quickly pivot to selling exclusively online.

5:40 PM | BUSINESS TESTIMONIALS

Small businesses who have gone through the Small Business Tech Support Program will join us to share their stories and answer your questions about the program.
